The most alive I feel is barefoot on a balcony, the sun is shining, head to toe in paint drinking my favorite bottle of Resiling while singing along to my dad’s all-time favorite bands, Mr. Neil Young & Van Morrison, and of course Bob Dylan.

I’ve painted in my darkest hours and on some of my best days. I have spent countless days & nights pouring my heart & soul into a world that is captured on cloth.  
It’s not about the money, or keeping up with the latest trends for profit.
For me, it’s my legacy – it’s the honor I feel when someone decorates their home with a painting that brightens their world, even if it’s just a little.
That is why I paint and to me, that is art. – Kelli Amen
